Labor Costs Increased

According to TÜIK 3rd quarter data of 2016, the hourly labor cost index increased by 3.7% compared to the previous quarter.

The hourly labor cost index, free from season and calendar effects, increased by 3.7% in the third quarter of 2016, compared to the previous quarter. The index increased by 3.1% in the industrial sector, 3.6% in the construction sector and 4.1% in the service sector.

The highest increase in the hourly labor cost index, free from seasonal and calendar effects, was in the M (professional, scientific and technical activities) sector with 15.7%.
