$4 Million Sea Salyangos Exported From Sinop

In 2016, $4 million worth of sea snails were exported from Sinop. Exports to the Far East were made to Korea, China and Taiwan countries, especially Japan. Approximately 550 tons of products are processed in snail exports, which employ about 100 people. Company official Halil Fat stated that the highest quality product is in the Black Sea region.

In recent years, there have been various state subsidies for rural agriculture and livestock as well as for production and export. These supports, which are important in terms of increasing export diversity, will also be efficient at the new employment point in Anatolia.
