Japanese Employees Will Be Encouraged to Stake on Friday
The Japanese Government is launching a "Premium Friday" app with the support of 130 organizations in the country. According to this, he will be encouraged to leave work early on the last Friday of each month to reduce overtime and increase consumption.
The Japanese Times notes that given Japan's famous workaholic structure, the campaign is expected to be successful. The project is expected to increase GDP by 63.5 billion Yen per year.
The project, which would encourage giant Japanese firms such as SoftBank Group, Mitsubishi, Sumitomo, Suntory Holdings and Shimizu to leave their employees' jobs, is expected to have a positive impact on the economy around 500-600 million Yen.
In contrast, a survey of 6,750 full-time employees found that only 2.5% of employers would encourage their employees to leave work early.
The Ministry of Industry reported that 3,930 companies registered to use the Premium Friday official logo.
