Export Practices
What are export practices?
Export, i.e., export, is a process with different procedures according to domestic transactions. This difference begins with communication with the customer and then continues in manufacturing processes, accounting records, payment, loading, paperwork to be arranged, rules specific to foreign trade, etc. In turn,
a) When looking for customers in foreign markets, it is necessary to find solutions to many different issues, such as the relevant country's legislation, the preliminary permits to be taken, the market dynamics being different. It is also important not to ignore the customs tax rates of the country concerned.
b) There may be rules that must be followed in accordance with the relevant country or country regulations in the manufacturing processes.
c) The most important difference in accounting records can be specified as the Turkish Bill, which will be held. In foreign goods sales, there is a VAT exemption under the VAT Law No. 3065.
d) The forms of payment in foreign trade vary greatly according to domesticity. The credit, in which the banks will be activated and the payment for the loading documents will be carried out, is a method that must be taken into account, at risk of not being able to receive the payment if the seller does not comply with the credit terms.
e) Again in foreign trade (Incoterms) the terms of the delivery forms are set by the ICC (International Chamber of Commerce). The most common of these are EXW, FOB, CFR, CIF.
f) There are different documents that vary depending on the country, the way of delivery, and the product. For example, in trade between EU countries and Turkey, a document called ATR is issued. This document is used only in international transactions.
These processes and operational processes are the subject of the title "Export Application".
