EU detects risk in 51 food products

Between the 16th and 30th weeks of this year, the European Union (EU) has reported 51 risks to packaging that come in contact with food and food imported from Turkey. Products under 25 notices were returned, while 18 notifications were due to pesticide residue.

According to information in issue 3 of this year's edition of the Food Safety Association's editorial body, Food Safety, the EU, under the Rapid Alarm System for Food and Feed (RASFF),
Between the 16th and 30th weeks, Turkey received a total of 950 notifications, 51 of which were reported. The transaction for 25 of the 51 reported notifications resulted in a product return.
